Fine Styling is 2!

Fine Styling is 2!

It is such a joy to be writing this blog post.  Unbelievable in many ways as time has definitely flown by but 2 whole years of Fine Styling makes me very happy indeed.

I would say that one of the biggest things I have noticed in the second year of business is that there has been lot more referrals from word of mouth. I knew it was going to take hard work and time to build up a good reputation and client base but it has started to come full circle and I love that my business is growing in this way.  The novelty does not wear off either.  Every time a message pops up from a potential new client saying that I have been recommended me it really does make my day.  I mean that’s dream right?  Work comes to you!

My own confidence has definitely grown more and one of the things that excites me the most is the thought that anything is possible.  I’m not frightened to dream big anymore and that is excactly what I am doing.  I love that fact that I have no idea what I will be sitting here writing in another year.  So much has happened this year that I could never have predicted and there have been so many pinch me moments.  Below I have listed some highlights…

Like the the time when I dressed Izabel Goulart for the SS19 Julian Macdonald fashion show at London Fashion Week.

A couple of days after I was Lead Dresser at the Paul Costelloe SS19 fashion show at London Fashion Week.  I was in charge of 20 dressers…it was amazing.

Then I assisted the Stylist of Shirley Ballas for a live show of Strictly in October.  That was just brilliant from start to finish.  I want to do much more of this in 2019.

I have styled almost another 100 clients, including my first celebrity personal shops with Mary Nightingale and Victoria Derbyshire…

…and my gorgeous pal and actress Kelly Harrison for her red carpet screening of BBC drama Age Before Beauty.

The Fine Styling tote was launched! Which I have to say has been a real hit with clients.

I have also styled more men this year which was a goal of mine to grow that client base.

And I have made some amazing friends out of clients. This is probably the biggest reward. And actually I guess it is not really surprising that friendships develop as you get to spend time with those people and building a relationship is part of the job. This picture below is when I got invited out to my client’s 40th birthday party.  I think it was one of the best nights I have had this year!

So to everyone who has been part of my journey one way or another I wanted to take this opportunity to say a HUGE thank you for all your support.  I could not run my business without you, and I can’t wait for lots more fun to come in 2019!!

Finally, for those of you that are local look out for this advert on the screens at Sevenoaks Station.  I won a competition with Sevenoaks Town Council who were offering small businesses an opportunity to win free adveristing.  I was absolutely thrilled 🙂

Have a great week.

Simply amazing and huge congratulations to you, you have inspired me to think about doing something I love – maybe my goal for 2019 is to figure that out! Any tips!?
